Event Overview
The Susan Zabransky Hughes Memorial 5K Run/Walk is a timed event taking place on Saturday, April 25, 2026. This is the 15th anniversary of the race. The event starts and finishes at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Saddle River, New Jersey, across from Wandell Elementary School.
Course & Logistics
The course is a USATF-certified and sanctioned 5K. It is a single loop on paved surfaces through Saddle River and into Upper Saddle River. The event features chip timing. Water stations and pace clocks are provided along the route. Parking is available at Wandell Elementary School and Rindlaub Park.
Registration & Fees
Registration is available online and in-person on race day. The standard registration fee is $30. This fee increases to $40 after April 17, 2026. Participants who register by April 7 are guaranteed a long-sleeve performance tech shirt.
Awards & Beneficiary
A wide range of awards are presented. These include a prize for the top overall male and female finishers, medals for the top three overall, and medals for the top three finishers in numerous age groups. The proceeds from the event benefit cervical cancer research at the Hackensack Meridian Center for Discovery and Innovation.
Post-Race & Details
