Surgeon General's 5K
The Surgeon General's 5K is a free running event scheduled for Monday, May 18, 2026. It takes place in Cleveland, Ohio. The event is connected to the 2026 USPHS Scientific & Training Symposium and is open to symposium attendees, their friends and family, and Cleveland residents.
Participants can register for free. A limited number of free T-shirts are available for in-person participants. There is a remote race option that can be completed between Sunday, May 17, and Saturday, May 23. Participants may complete both the in-person and remote races if they wish.
Event logistics include early bib pickup on Sunday, May 17, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Huntington Convention Center. Race day registration is also available from 5:30 AM to 6:00 AM on the event day. Buses will be provided to transport participants between the Convention Center and the race start line, though the exact start location is listed as "TBD."
Awards will be given at 7:00 AM for the overall male and female first-place finishers. Additional awards will be given for first-place winners in male and female 10-year age groups. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
