Superior Fall Trail Race
The Superior Fall Trail Race stages three trail running events on the North Shore of Minnesota, based around Lutsen and sections of the Superior Hiking Trail that run alongside Lake Superior. Races are scheduled for September 11 and 12, 2026 and include multiple distances.
Distances:
- 100 miles
- 50 miles
- 26.2 miles (marathon)
The event pages include maps and course data, race results and records, and separate information for the 100 mile, 50 mile and 26.2 mile courses. The organizer provides guidance for crews, pacers and family members as well as a schedule of event items and volunteer assignments. A lottery registration period for the 2026 edition opened on January 1 and closed on January 15, 2026; the lottery drawing was held after the registration window.
Site materials also document aid station guidance, volunteer roles and a no refund policy. Photographs and videos from prior editions show course features such as boardwalks, lake backdrops and named sections like Bean Lake and Mt Trudee. Information is presented by the event team and includes results, split data and volunteer resources for those supporting competitors. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
