About the race
Superheroes for Child Care 5K & Kids Fun Run is the fourth annual fundraiser held at Eisenhower Park Field 2 in East Meadow, New York on September 26, 2026. The event includes an in-person 5K run/walk and a free kids fun run. Registration is offered for both in-person and virtual participation; the listed base entry fee is $30 with additional processing fees. Proceeds benefit the Child Care Council of Nassau, Inc., a private not-for-profit organization that provides child care referrals, professional development, technical assistance, and advocacy for families and providers in Nassau County. Event amenities include a finisher medal for the first 100 finishers, live results delivered online, text and email result options, free finish line photos, and personalized bibs for participants who register at least three weeks before the event.
BIB pickup is available in person starting one hour before the event; virtual bibs are mailed the Monday prior to the event when applicable. Awards recognize the top male and female overall finishers and the top male and female in the following age groups: 14 and under, 15–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, and 60 and over.
