Superheroes for Child Care 5K & Kids Fun Run
The Superheroes for Child Care event is a community race held at Eisenhower Park Field 2 in East Meadow, NY. The event includes an in-person 5K run/walk and a free kids fun run. A virtual 5K option is also offered, with a posting window for virtual results and photos from September 26 to October 4.
Registration offers in-person and virtual options and may include processing fees. Personalized bibs are available for participants who register at least three weeks in advance. The first 100 finishers receive a finisher medal. Results are provided live and by text or email, and finish line photos are provided at no cost.
Awards are given to the top overall male and female finishers and to age group winners for categories including 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and over. Team registration is optional and teams can be created for group participation.
Proceeds from the event support the Child Care Council of Nassau, Inc. The council is a not for profit organization that provides child care referrals, professional development for providers, employer services, and advocacy related to child care and early learning in Nassau County.
