Superheroes for Child Care 5K & Kids Fun Run : September 26, 2026
The fourth annual Superheroes for Child Care 5K & Kids Fun Run is scheduled for September 26, 2026 at Eisenhower Park, Field 2, Parking Lot 2 in East Meadow, New York. The event is held rain or shine and offers both in-person and virtual participation options. Proceeds will support the Child Care Council of Nassau, Inc., a local not-for-profit organization that provides child care referrals, professional development for providers, and public information on child care issues.
Race amenities include live online, text, and email results; free finish line photos; and personalized bibs for participants who register at least three weeks before the event. The first 100 finishers receive a finisher medal. Virtual participants can upload times and photos during the window from September 26 to October 4, and mailed bibs are sent the Monday prior to the event with a 3–5 day delivery expectation.
Awards are given to the top male and female overall and to top male and female in age groups: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+. Team registration is optional and team rosters are supported. Registration options include in-person and virtual entries; fees may vary with additional options such as donations and processing fees.
