Superheroes for Child Care 5K & Kids Fun Run - 2026
The event is the fourth annual Superheroes for Child Care 5K and Kids Fun Run, held on September 26, 2026, at Eisenhower Park Field 2, Parking Lot 2, East Meadow, NY 11554. The event takes place rain or shine and offers both in-person and virtual participation.

Registration includes options for an in-person 5K or a virtual entry that accepts time and photo uploads from September 26 to October 4. Personalized bibs are available for participants who register at least three weeks before the event; virtual bibs are mailed the Monday before the start. The first 100 finishers receive a finisher medal. Live online, text, and email results are provided, and finish line photos are available at no charge.
Awards are given to the top male and female overall and to top finishers in multiple age groups including 14 and under through 60 and older. Proceeds benefit the Child Care Council of Nassau, Inc., a not-for-profit organization that provides child care counseling, referrals, professional development for providers, and advocacy for child care policies in Nassau County.
