Event Overview
The Superhero Dash is a running event with two races: a timed 5K and a Family Fun Run. The event takes place at City Lake Park in Jamestown, North Carolina. The purpose of the event is to support Family Service of the Piedmont. This local agency provides services addressing child abuse, domestic violence, mental health, and financial stability.
Event Details
Two race options are available.
- 5K: This is a chip-timed race. The course starts at picnic shelters behind the Event Center/Aquatic Center and follows a route on local park roads and the City Lake Trail. Awards are given to the top three overall fastest men, women, and non-binary participants. Age group awards are also given.
- Family Fun Run: Participants in this run receive a child's cape, mask, and participation medal. The event also includes crafts, face painting, and community resource tables.
Superhero costumes are encouraged for participants. After the races, participants can use some of the park's amusement rides and activities, such as the carousel, park train, and mini golf, for free. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
