Event overview
The SUPERHERO 5K - Compassion in Action is a charity run on Sunday, February 22, 2026, held on the University of Central Florida campus at 4000 Central Florida Blvd, Orlando, FL 32816. Proceeds benefit the Abilities Workshop and its "LoveABLE" program, which supports special needs families. Participants are encouraged to wear superhero costumes. The event includes family-friendly activities, entertainment, an awards ceremony, and an after-race party with music and vendors.
Race details
- 5K (3.1 miles)
The 5K is a chip-timed race using a disposable transponder attached to the back of the bib; official times require use of the provided chip. T-shirts are provided to pre-registered participants, with limited availability for day-of registrants. There is a water station on the course and at the finish. Qualified emergency medical personnel will be available at the start/finish area. Dogs and strollers are permitted, with stroller participants asked to start toward the back of the field. Free parking is available in Garage H at UCF.
Registration, rules and awards
Standard entry price is listed at $40; the price increases after January 31, 2026. Discounted registration rates are offered for Special Athletes ($15) and caregivers ($30) via event codes. The event is rain or shine. Registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable. Awards are given to top finishers overall and by multiple age groups, plus top Special Athletes.
