Event
The SUPERHERO 5K - Compassion in Action is scheduled for Sunday, February 22, 2026, on the University of Central Florida campus in Orlando, FL (4000 Central Florida Blvd, Memory Mall, Orlando, FL 32816). The event features a 5K (3.1 miles) run/walk. Proceeds benefit the Abilities Workshop and its LoveABLE program, which supports special needs families. Participants are encouraged to wear superhero costumes. Registered participants receive a race t-shirt and a finisher's medal. The base entry fee is $35 and the price increases after November 30, 2025.
Logistics and rules
The race uses electronic timing with a disposable transponder chip attached to the back of the bib; official times require use of the provided chip. Day-of packet pickup is available at the University of Central Florida on the race date. Water stations are provided on course and at the finish. Dogs and strollers are permitted; stroller users are asked to start toward the back. Emergency medical professionals will be available at the start and finish areas. The event is rain or shine. The organizer has a no-refund policy and a strict no-transfer policy. Free parking is listed at Garage H, University of Central Florida. Awards include top 3 male and female finishers, top 3 in multiple age groups, and top 3 Special Athletes. Discounted rates are available for the Special Athlete category and for caregivers.
