Superhero 5K - Compassion in Action
The Superhero 5K takes place on Sunday, February 22, 2026, on the University of Central Florida (UCF) campus in Orlando. The event address is 4000 Central Florida Blvd.
Participants are encouraged to wear superhero costumes. The event includes family-friendly activities and entertainment. It is a 5K distance (3.1 miles). The race is chip-timed using a disposable chip attached to the bib.
Proceeds benefit the Abilities Workshop and its "LoveABLE" program, which provides support to special needs families.
Registration and logistics
- Registration opens at 7:00 a.m.
- Early packet pickup details are to be determined.
- Day-of packet pickup starts at 7:00 a.m. at the UCF location.
- Free parking is available in Garage H on the UCF campus.
- The event operates rain or shine.
Awards and categories Awards are given to the top 3 male and female finishers overall, and the top 3 finishers in various age groups. A separate "Special Athlete" category exists for participants with documented intellectual, developmental, or medical disabilities, with awards for the top 3 Special Athletes.
Participation details Dogs and strollers are allowed. There is a water station on the course and at the finish. All pre-registered participants who sign up before a specified date receive a race t-shirt and a finisher's medal. No refunds or entry transfers are permitted.
