Super Santa 5K Walk/Run/Wheel 2026
The Super Santa event in Amherstburg is a timed 5 km event held as walk, run, or wheel categories. It supports conservation projects in the Essex Region and is organized with expert timing provided by W.R.A.C.E. There will be one water station on the course.
The event provides a full Santa suit to all registered participants (jacket, pants, hat, beard and belt); participants keep the suit for future years and may receive a CA$10 discount if they already have a suit. Teams of 10 or more receive a CA$4 discount per team member. Fundraising prizes include free registration for participants who raise CA$200 or more and an annual conservation area pass for those who raise CA$300 or more.
"WHEEL" refers to mobility aids such as wheelchairs, mobility scooters and walkers; bikes and rollerblades are not included in this category. Support persons, when needed, receive complimentary entry. Children in strollers are not chip timed and are not charged.
The course starts near 52 Richmond Street in downtown Amherstburg and follows a loop along Dalhousie Street, around Toddy Jones Park, through Fort Malden National Historic Park and along the Navy Yard Park waterfront to the turnaround at Dalhousie Street and Lowes Side Road.
