Super Santa 5K Walk/Run/Wheel 2026
Super Santa is a timed 5 km event held around Navy Yard Park in Amherstburg. The start line is located in front of 52 Richmond Street. The route runs through downtown Amherstburg, along Dalhousie Street, around Toddy Jones Park, through Fort Malden National Historic Park and along the waterfront to a turnaround at Dalhousie Street and Lowes Side Road. There is one water station on the course. Timing and results are provided by W.R.A.C.E.
The event features walk, run and wheel categories. Wheel refers to mobility aids such as racing and leisure wheelchairs, mobility scooters and walkers; bicycles and rollerblades are not included. Support persons receive complimentary entry. Children in strollers are not chip timed and children under 4 years old in strollers are not charged.
Every registered participant receives a full Santa suit including jacket, pants, hat, beard and belt to keep. A CA$10 discount is available for participants who indicate they already have a suit. Suits can be picked up in person before the event and during the race weekend.
Fundraising prizes include free registration for 2026 for participants who raise CA$200 or more, and a free registration plus an ERCA Conservation Area Annual Pass for those who raise CA$300 or more. Teams of 10 or more receive a CA$4 discount per registration. Registration fees listed are CA$55.12 for adults and CA$44.33 for youth.
Post-race refreshments are provided and the River Lights Winter Festival with tree lighting and fireworks takes place at Navy Yard Park following the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
