About the race
The Super Santa 5K Walk/Run/Wheel is a community 5 km event in Amherstburg, Ontario, held at Navy Yard Park with the start line in front of 52 Richmond Street. Participants walk, run or use mobility aids to complete a timed 5 km course that passes Toddy Jones Park, Fort Malden National Historic Park and the waterfront, with a turn around at Dalhousie Street and Lowes Side Road. There is one water station on the course.
Expert timing and results are provided through W.R.A.C.E. All registered participants receive a full Santa suit that includes a jacket, pants, hat, beard and belt. Returning participants who use a suit from a previous year receive a CA$10 entry discount when they indicate they already have a suit. Teams of 10 or more receive a CA$4 discount per registration.
Support persons receive complimentary entry when needed. Littles in strollers are not chip timed and are not charged. The event supports conservation projects in the Essex Region and offers fundraising prizes. Raise CA$200 or more to receive free registration for the 2026 Super Santa Run; raise CA$300 or more to receive free registration and an ERCA Conservation Area Annual Pass.
The event does not offer refunds or deferrals; transfers are subject to a transfer fee. Santa suits can be picked up at the designated local pickup locations before the event.
