Super Santa 5K Walk/Run/Wheel 2026
Super Santa is a timed 5 km event in Amherstburg, Ontario, with the start line in front of 52 Richmond Street and activities centered at Navy Yard Park. The route goes along Dalhousie Street, around Toddy Jones Park, through Fort Malden National Historic Park and along the waterfront to a turnaround at Dalhousie Street and Lowes Side Road. One water station is available on course.
The event offers three participation categories: Walk, Run and Wheel. "Wheel" refers to mobility aids such as racing and leisure wheelchairs, mobility scooters and walkers; bicycles and rollerblades are not permitted. Support persons receive complimentary entry. Small children in strollers are not chip timed and children under four in strollers are free of charge.
All registered participants receive a full Santa suit including jacket, pants, hat, beard and belt. Returning suit owners receive a CA$10 discount on registration. Indicative registration fees are CA$55.12 for adult categories and CA$44.33 for youth categories.
The event raises funds for regional conservation projects and awards fundraising prizes. Fundraising thresholds include free registration for 2026 at CA$200 raised and free registration plus an ERCA Conservation Area annual pass at CA$300 raised. The organizer’s policy states no refunds or deferrals; transfers are subject to a fee. Santa suits can be picked up at the Essex Civic Centre on November 13 and at the local pickup location on race day.
