Superbowl Trail Run : Cromwell Valley Park
The Superbowl Trail Run is a 7-mile trail race held at Cromwell Valley Park in Parkville, Maryland. The course uses rolling hills and a mixture of fire roads, open fields, and mostly single-track trails. The route begins and ends in the Talmar area of the park and features a fast downhill finish.
Post-race provisions include pulled pork sandwiches and a beer offering from Independent Brewery. Net proceeds from the event are split between Cromwell Valley Park and the Talmar Group. Talmar provides therapeutic horticulture programs for veterans with PTSD, and park donations help children with financial need attend programs such as summer camp. A donation bucket will be available at the start/finish area.
Event operations notes: no refunds or transfers are permitted and carpooling is strongly encouraged. Parking for runners is not available at the immediate start/finish location; parking is arranged around park headquarters and in the field in front of the Sherwood house inside a marked area, with volunteers directing vehicles. Bib pickup is handled at the Talmar start/finish area and requires signing an additional park waiver.
