Super Bowl 5k
The Super Bowl 5k is a 5 kilometer run/walk held on February 8, 2026, in Lansing, MI 48933. The course starts and finishes in front of the Michigan State Capitol Building in downtown Lansing. The event includes a single 5k distance.
Event details
Registration opens November 30, 2025 at 6:00 AM EST. Entry fees follow a tiered schedule: $30 through December 31, $35 January 1 to January 31, $40 February 1 to 7, and $45 on February 8 (race day). Participants receive a race t-shirt, a finishers medal, and a commemorative race bib. Shirts are guaranteed for registrations completed by Sunday, January 25. Finishers medals are provided to the first 500 participants. Race timing uses chips; accurate chip time plus current overall and age group place are texted to participants and posted live immediately after finish.
Awards and fundraising
Overall awards include a $25 Playmakers gift certificate for Male and Female Overall winners and Master (Over 40) winners. Age group awards are offered in these categories: 12 & under; 13-14; 15-16; 17-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70-74; 75-79; 80+. Proceeds and donations support the Michigan Running Foundation grant program, which funds youth running across Michigan; current fundraising shows $0 raised of a $2,000 goal.
