Sunshine for Charlotte 5K and Fun Run : Amarillo, TX : October 24, 2026
This community event offers an in-person 5K and a 1 Mile Fun Run, plus virtual and sleep-in participation options, held to benefit the Ronald McDonald House in Amarillo. Proceeds for 2026 will support one year of nights in Room 10, Charlotte's Room.

In-person participants receive packet pickup information by email in October and must sign a waiver. Parking is limited at the Ronald McDonald House location. Snacks and water are provided after the event, followed by a parking lot gathering with food and beverages. 5K finishers receive the 2026 Sunshine for Charlotte finisher medal at the end of the race.
Virtual participants receive a participant packet by October 24 that includes a bib, shirt, and finisher medal. Virtual participants may complete a 5K (3.2 miles) on October 24 or any time between October 25 and November 6 if needed, and may run, walk, bike, swim, or otherwise cover the distance. The event uses the hashtag #sunshineforcharlotte for participant photos and social posts.
The event is presented in memory of Charlotte and acknowledges the support of the Ronald McDonald House and local hospital staff for the family. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
