Cupid's Chase 5K Amarillo
Cupid's Chase 5K Amarillo is part of a national race series that celebrates the founding of Community Options. This 19th annual event serves as a fundraiser to support housing and employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities. The race is held at the Amarillo Zoo, located at 700 Comanchero Trail in Amarillo, Texas.
The event features a 3.1 mile (5K) distance and welcomes a diverse group of participants, including runners, walkers, families with strollers, and wheelchair participants. The course for this certified race is professionally timed, with all results posted immediately following the conclusion of the event. Participants should note that pets are not permitted at this specific race location.
Participants who register by January 1, 2027, are guaranteed a Cupid's Chase shirt; after this date, shirts are distributed based on available supplies. Additional giveaways for participants include a finisher medal and a drawstring bag, which are also provided while supplies last. The event takes place regardless of weather conditions, and registration fees are non-refundable.
Trophies are awarded to the top three overall male and female finishers. Additionally, age group medals are presented to the top male and female finishers across 14 different categories: Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
