Sunset on Cancer 1 Mile Fun Run and 5K Run/Walk - Ocean Springs
This community running event takes place on October 3, 2026, at Fort Maurepas Park, 499 Front Beach Drive, Ocean Springs, Mississippi. The event includes multiple entry options and family-oriented on-site activities.

On-site features include food, live music, and children’s activities such as face painting and balloon art; a park and the beach are nearby. A race T-shirt and race bag are guaranteed for participants who register by September 5.
The event honors cancer survivors and their families and raises funds for the Singing River Foundation Cancer Fund; a portion of proceeds also supports the American Cancer Society. The foundation’s Cancer Fund helps patients with medications, dental work, transportation, and improvements to the Cancer Center.
Registration includes early fees and higher race-day fees for the 5K and 1 Mile. Packet pickup occurs at the race site on race day. Awards are presented for overall and age-group finishers in the 5K and age categories for the 1 Mile; team awards recognize largest team, best costume, and best spirit team.
