Live Oak Ultra : January 30, 2027
Live Oak Ultra is a supported road and coastal event in Biloxi, MS, organized by Rougarou Running. The event on January 30, 2027 features two distances:
- 50K
- Half-Marathon (13.1M)
The 50K route runs through Biloxi and Ocean Springs, passing the Biloxi Lighthouse, the beach boardwalk, across the Biloxi-Ocean Springs bridge, Front and East Beaches, and areas of the Gulf Islands National Seashore State Park before returning to downtown Biloxi and Altered Reality Brewing for post-race activities. The half-marathon follows the same corridor to Biloxi Beach and Ocean Springs, then loops back to Biloxi.
Course support includes approximately six aid locations offering water, Hammer Nutrition products (Heed and gels), fruit and typical snacks, with some additional food options possible. Specific aid locations and mile markers are listed for the 50K; drop bags are allowed at stations 2/5, 3, and 4 but not at 1/6. An unmanned water station layout is used in some places. GPX course files are provided for both distances and pocket-sized turn cards will be available at check in and posted online. The route uses neon tape for turns and requires navigation awareness.
Runners have a 10-hour course time limit. Unique awards are planned for finishers; the 50K includes top overall and age-division awards. Results will be posted using Ultrasignup app timing. Registration closes January 28, 2027; the organizer offers a refund and transfer policy with conditions and accepts donations and volunteer entries.
