Live Oak Ultra

Live Oak Ultra is a supported endurance event in Biloxi, MS, offering both a 50K and a half-marathon. The start and finish are at Altered Reality Brewing in downtown Biloxi. The urban route passes the Biloxi Lighthouse, the beach boardwalk, the Biloxi-Ocean Springs bridge, Front and East Beaches, and sections of the Gulf Islands National Seashore State Park before returning to Biloxi.

The event provides approximately six aid locations with water, Hammer Nutrition products (Heed and gels), fruit and snacks, and some extra food options at select stations. Specific aid points include an unmanned water-only location at Golden Nugget, an Ainsley Angels full station at Ft Maurepas / Front Beach Drive with restrooms, a station near Tri Hard Sports on Porter Avenue, and Davis Bayou Park Pavilion with restrooms. Drop bags are allowed at stations 2/5, 3, and 4; participants are asked to label bags and avoid boxes.

Course navigation uses GPX files posted on Strava; participants are advised to download files to a phone map app or a watch. The route will have neon tape indicating turns but limited signage, and pocket-sized turn cards are provided at check in. Timing is via the UltraSignup app and finishers receive awards; the 50K also includes age-group awards. The course has a 10 hour completion cutoff. Rougarou Running supports Ainsley Angels and accepts additional donations at registration and on race day.
