Event Overview
The Sunset Dip 5K is a running and walking event with an optional pool party. It is organized by the S & B Foundation and is in its fifth year. The event takes place at Firestone Park, located at 338 E. Park Ave. in Columbiana, Ohio.
Distances and Options
Participants can choose from several options:
- 5K Run (chip-timed)
- 5K Walk (chip-timed)
- Virtual 5K
- Swim Only (for family members, does not include a beach towel)
Course and Location
The course is a 5K loop that starts and finishes at the Firestone Pool in Firestone Park. It uses residential streets, sections of the park, and paved running and walking paths.
Registration and Inclusions
A standard registration includes a custom bib number, a finisher medal, and access to the post-race pool party. A beach towel is guaranteed for the first 125 registrants. An optional t-shirt is available as an add-on. There is a separate, lower-cost "Swim Only" registration option.
Race-day registration and packet pick-up occur in front of the Firestone Pool.
Awards
Awards are given for the 5K run and 5K walk.
- For the 5K Run, awards go to the top three overall men and women, and the top three in seven different age groups.
- For the 5K Walk, awards go to the top three overall men and women.
