Sunset 6/12/24 Hour Endurance Challenge
The Sunset 6/12/24 Hour Endurance Challenge is the 15th annual timed endurance event held November 27–28, 2026 at Sunset Lake, Fairfield Avenue, Benton, AR 72018, USA. Participants attempt to cover as much distance as possible within a set time period; awards are given for the most miles in each time category.
The event uses a flat, looped course with a staffed aid station on every loop that supplies fuel, hydration, and real food. The event continues through the night with lighting, music, and volunteers providing support. The format keeps participants close to support and to the course base.
Entry to the event is free. A suggested $20 donation is encouraged to support the Saline County Striders Running & Walking Club, race supplies, aid station improvements, and community programs such as clinics and group runs. Participant limits are set for each time category: 24 hour 100 runners, 12 hour 35 runners, 6 hour 100 runners.
The event accommodates both runners and walkers and includes opportunities for first time ultrarunners as well as experienced ultrarunners. Distances listed for the event categories are provided below. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
