Sunlight Showdown
The Sunlight Showdown is a series of trail races held at Sunlight Mountain Resort near Glenwood Springs, Colorado, running from June 27, 2026 to September 19, 2026. Courses pass through Babbish Gulch and Sunlight Mountain and use mountain trails and lodge facilities.
Distances include:
- 5K trail run, approx 600 ft elevation gain
- 10K trail run, approx 1100 ft elevation gain
- Half marathon trail run, approx 3000 ft elevation gain
Registration windows and fees are set per event. The 5K and 10K registration opens April 3, 2026 and closes June 1, 2026; the half marathon registration opens April 3, 2026 and closes July 1, 2026. Listed entry fees are $35 for the 5K, $45 for the 10K, and $70 for the half marathon. A 15% discount applies when all three races are registered together.
Bib pickup is handled at the main lodge at Sunlight Mountain Resort. For the 5K and 10K, bib pickup is scheduled between 8:00 am and 8:45 am on race day and limited day of registration is available between 8:00 am and 8:30 am. For the half marathon, bib pickup is scheduled between 7:00 am and 7:45 am and there is no day of registration. Aid station support is limited: there are no aid stations for the 5K and 10K, and the half marathon has one aid station at mile 8.5 offering water and an electrolyte mix.
