Sunderbruch B&B Trail Races
The Sunderbruch B&B Trail Races take place at Sunderbruch Park in Davenport, Iowa on Saturday, May 16, 2026. The event offers approximately ~5k and ~10k courses on mostly dirt single-track trails with some short grass and a brief parking-lot loop to spread runners before single track.
Distances:
- ~5k - mostly green and some blue single-track, generally flat with rolling inclines.
- ~10k - mixture of dirt single-track with sharp descents, climbs and more technical sections.
The race is cup-free; participants should carry fluids or bring a vessel to refill at aid stations. A custom B&B mug is included with registration and a limited supply of collapsible silicone cups will be available for sale. The event includes on-course and start/finish aid, race swag for pre-registered runners, and a post-race potluck with bacon and craft beer. The organizers donate a guaranteed amount to Friends of Off Road Cycling (FORC), the group that builds and maintains the mountain bike trails used by the race.
Registration is online only; there are no refunds or bib transfers. The event uses a waitlist when capacity is reached and offers a deferral option that provides a 100% rollover credit for the following year's registration if requested by the deferral deadline of April 23. No strollers or pets are allowed on course; children are welcome at post-race activities. Packet pickup occurs Thursday and Friday evenings and the morning of the event. Trail closures by the mountain bike club may require use of an alternate plan B route using double-track, horse trails and paved paths.
