Event

Northern Beaches Council will deliver the 16th annual Sun Run on Saturday 31 January 2026. The event is based at The Strand, Dee Why, with courses finishing at Manly Beach. The route follows the Northern Beaches coastline between Dee Why and Manly.

Race details

The event offers the following race distances:

  • 7 km
  • 10 km

Prizes will no longer be awarded for the 7 km event. Participants who wish to compete for placings are advised to enter the 10 km event. Registration is open for the event.

Participation and fundraising

Entries can be individual or team-based. The event aims to raise over $100,000 for multiple charities across Australia. Changes to the 2026 format were made to address participant numbers and course safety at the finish area. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
