The event organiser aims to raise over $100,000 for numerous charities across Australia. For 2026, prizes will no longer be awarded for the 7 km event; organisers cite the growing number of participants in the 10 km and a focus on safety and wellbeing on course and at the finish line. Competitors seeking a placing are advised to enter the 10 km event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
