Summit for Life - Aspen, CO
Summit for Life is a nighttime uphill event held on Aspen Mountain in Aspen, Colorado. The event includes an uphill race that ascends 3,267 vertical feet to the summit, a gondola ride option to reach the summit, and a virtual option that matches the same vertical total.
Registration details include a required fundraising minimum of $100 for racers; participants who have not met the minimum by November 30 will be charged the remaining amount, and registrations from December 1 onward require both the registration fee and the fundraising minimum. Registration fees listed for in-person options are $50 and for the virtual option $35. All registered participants receive a commemorative 2026 Summit for Life item.
The summit gathering includes a post summit party at the Sundeck Restaurant with dinner provided by The Little Nell, live music, and awards for top fundraisers and fastest race finishers. The organizer presents an annual inspirational award at the ceremony. Teams may register together and there is a prize for the best dressed team. Children age eight and younger may register for free but must register to participate. The gondola is available as a Ride for Life option and has a boarding requirement set by the organizer.
