Rubey Rescue Run
The Rubey Rescue Run is a Halloween themed community running and walking event in Aspen, Colorado, held at Koch Park and using the Marolt foot path and Moore open space. The event includes activities for people and their dogs and features an auction, costume prizes, and on-site food and drinks.
Distances
- 5.6K (about 3.5 miles) run, timed with cash prizes for the top three female and top three male finishers
- 1 mile walk
The run route passes through local open space and community trails. Water stations for both dogs and humans are located at mile 1, mile 2.2, and at the Cliff House; dog bowls will be provided and participants are asked to bring their own water bottle. Prizes will be presented on the Cliff House deck. Net proceeds benefit the Friends of the Aspen Animal Shelter.
Event hospitality includes donated coffee, hot chocolate, and muffins from Paradise Bakery; food provided by Clark's Market; lunch from MML Hospitality; and ice cream from Afternoon Deelites.
