Rubey Rescue Run
The Rubey Rescue Run is a Halloween themed trail run and walk held in Aspen on October 4, 2026. The event begins at Koch Park, 199 W. Cooper Avenue, and follows the Marolt foot path and adjacent open space. The main course distance is about 3.7 miles (6 kilometers) and includes notable elevation change listed as 1,700 feet.
This is a timed race with cash prizes for the top three female and top three male finishers. Participants may run or walk with dogs; water stations for both dogs and humans are located at mile 1, mile 2.2 and at the Cliff House. Organizers provide dog bowls at the aid stations and ask participants to bring their own reusable water bottles.
The event features costume prizes for pets, raffle prizes, and food trucks on site. Net proceeds benefit the Friend of the Aspen Animal Shelter. Entry fees listed for the event are Adults $65 and Kids 12 and under $25. Packet pickup is available on race day and registration opens February 1, 2025.
