Rubey Rescue Run
The Rubey Rescue Run is a Halloween themed running and walking event in Aspen, Colorado. It takes place at Koch Park and follows the Marolt foot path and Moore open space, starting near 199 W. Cooper Avenue. The event offers two course options:
- 3.5 Miles (5.6K) trail run, timed, with cash prizes for top three male and top three female finishers
- 1 Mile walk, open to participants with or without dogs
The trail run course is described with significant climbing, and the route includes aid stations that provide water for both dogs and humans at mile 1, mile 2.2, and at the Cliff House. Dog bowls will be available at aid stations; participants are asked to bring their own reusable water bottle. Prizes will be awarded, including costume awards for pets, and an auction will be held during the event.
Food and beverage offerings are included, with donations and contributions from local vendors such as Paradise Bakery, Clark's Market, Louis Swiss Bakery, and Afternoon Deelites. Net proceeds from the event benefit the Friends of the Aspen Animal Shelter. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
