Event Details

The Rubey Rescue Run is a Halloween-themed 5K run or walk. It takes place on October 4, 2026 in Aspen, Colorado. The start is at Koch Park and the route goes through the Marolt footpath and open space.

Course and Participation

The event is a timed race. It is open to participants with or without dogs. Participants can bring their pets in costume.

Awards and Proceeds

Cash prizes are awarded to the top three female and top three male finishers. There are also prizes for the best pet and participant costumes, along with raffle prizes. All net proceeds from the event benefit the Friends of the Aspen Animal Shelter.

Registration and Inclusions

The entry fee is $65 for adults and $35 for kids (16 and under). Registration includes a Rubey Rescue Run baseball cap and sponsor goodies. Food trucks are present at the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
