Summer Trail Series - Ballwin
The Summer Trail Series is a five-race trail series held at Castlewood State Park in Ballwin, MO. Races occur every other week across summer dates, with a rain/weather backup date on September 3, 2026. Race headquarters are in the Special Events area past the train trestle.

- Race 1 - 8K, July 2, 2026
- Race 2 - 7K, July 16, 2026
- Race 3 - 6K, July 30, 2026
- Race 4 - 5K, August 13, 2026
- Race 5 - 4K, August 27, 2026
Series registrants receive a race shirt and a commemorative event medal; shirts may be picked up on any of the race days. Single-race participants may purchase a shirt as an add-on during registration. After each race there will be grilled food and cold beverages with vegetarian and nonalcoholic options available.
Series scoring uses each participant's four best races to determine overall awards. Points are awarded by age and gender group placement; first place receives 50 points and all finishers receive 5 points. Only series registrants are eligible for series awards. Individual races award ribbons to the top three finishers in each gender group. Space is limited due to park trail capacity. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
