Summer Track Series - Peachtree City
Presented by Peachtree City Running Club, this is a multi night community track series held at Peachtree City Track at Riley Field, adjacent to Peachtree City Elementary School on Wisdom Road. Regular weekly meets occur on Wednesday evenings on May 27, June 3, 10, and 17, with championship meets on June 23 and June 24.
Online registration is open through May 26 and registration is valid for one or all event nights. In-person registration and check-in are available on event nights; online registrants must check in on their first night of participation. Entry for participating runners and spectators is free. Minors must be accompanied by a legal parent or guardian unless a parent designates a trusted adult or coach at registration.
Events include:
- 50-yard dash for 10 and under
- 100-meter dash
- 200-meter dash
- 400-meter dash
- 800-meter run
- 1 Mile run
- 3200-meter run
- 400-meter relay
- 1600-meter relay
Weekly meets run events in heats by age ranges. Championship meets run heats by age group and by gender, with awards presented only at championship meets. The track surface is rubberized and timing uses electronic clocks with volunteer confirmation of top finishers. Meets may be postponed or cancelled for lightning or other unsafe weather.
