Summer Track Series - Peachtree City
Peachtree City Running Club organizes the 2026 Summer Track Series at Riley Field track, adjacent to Peachtree City Elementary School on Wisdom Road in Peachtree City, GA. The series is presented as a community track competition with separate regular meets and a two-night championship.
Meets occur on these dates: May 27, June 3, June 10, June 17. Championship meets occur on June 23 and June 24. Registration is available online through May 26, then in-person; registration is good for one night or all event nights. Entry is free for participating runners and for spectators. Minors must be accompanied by a legal parent or guardian.
Events scheduled are track running events only; there are no field events. Distances include:
- 50-yard dash (10 and under)
- 100-meter dash
- 200-meter dash
- 400-meter dash
- 800-meter run
- 1 Mile run
- 3200-meter run
- 400-meter relay and 1600-meter relay
Regular weekly meets run events in heats that group runners by age ranges based on turnout. Championship heats are organized by age group and by gender; awards are presented for the championship meets only. The track surface is rubberized. Timing uses electronic clocks with top finishers confirmed visually by volunteers. Events may be postponed or cancelled for lightning or other unsafe weather, and the schedule is approximate and depends on number of runners.
