Event overview
The 2026 Summer Sizzle 5k & 10k takes place on August 22, 2026, at Deep Run Park in Henrico, VA (9900 Ridgefield Pkwy). The event offers a virtual race option and awards series points toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k and Back of the Pack Series, and the Summer Series. Walkers are welcome.

The course is paved, runs through Deep Run Park, is described as scenic and shady, and includes some hills. The 10k is an out-and-back run completed twice. The event is chip timed. Runners receive a finisher’s medal and a technical (drifit) event shirt. T-shirts are guaranteed for entrants registered before August 12; sizes are not guaranteed for race day registrants.
Registration fees listed: 5k $30 until July 31 (then $35), 10k $45 until July 31 (then $50). Fees increase after July 31 and again on race day by $5. Packet pickup is available at the event and race day registration is offered. Water stations are provided: three on the 10k at about miles 1.55, 3.1 and 4.65, and one on the 5k at about mile 1.55; Gatorade will be available at some stations. Restrooms are available in the park. Results are posted live on Athlinks and final results with series points are posted the Monday after the race. The event partners with Operation Turbo.
