Summer Series Hump Day 2 Milers

This is a midweek summer race series held in the Baton Rouge area from June 3 to July 29, 2026. Each event pairs a short fun run with a two-mile race; locations rotate among levee sections, parks, and trail areas in and around Baton Rouge.

The program includes:

2 Miles
0.5 Miles fun run

Event locations named for specific dates include the levee at L'Auberge Casino, the levee at the LSU Vet School, Highland Road Park, and tentative sites for one date: Kennilworth Park or the Ward's Creek trail behind TJ Maxx/JoAnn's with parking in the lots behind JoAnn's. Parking is noted for the casino overflow lot and the lot across from the LSU Vet School. One course is specified as a cross-country/trail run.

Registration details vary by event. Some two-mile races list a $10 registration fee while the half-mile fun runs are listed with no fee; the series information also notes a reduced $5 fee for students and Club South Runners members and a $10 fee for non-members. Registration opens January 1, 2026, and closes on the day of each event. Age-group awards are given three deep and post-race refreshments are provided to registered participants.
