Summer Series: Hump Day 2 Milers
The Summer Series takes place across multiple dates in mid-2026, featuring a rotating selection of routes within the Baton Rouge area. Each event date includes two distinct distances:
- 2 Miles
- 0.5 Miles (fun run)
The first event in early June is held on the Levee at L'Auberge Casino, with parking available in the casino overflow lot. The second mid-June event utilizes either Kennilworth Park or the Ward's Creek trail behind Seigan Lane, with the specific location confirmed during the week of the race.
The third event in mid-July moves to the levee at the LSU Vet school, where participants can find parking in the lot directly across the street. The final race in late July concludes the series at Highland Road Park, featuring a cross-country and trail run course.
The series is open to both members of Club South Runners and non-members, as well as students. Participants can register for individual dates or multiple events. Registration includes post-race refreshments for all athletes who have registered. Age group awards are presented to the top three finishers in each category. The 2-mile events require a fee for non-members and students, while the half-mile fun runs are provided at no cost. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
