Summer Send-off 8K
The Summer Send-Off 8K is a running race held in Orchard Park, New York. The event takes place on a Thursday evening in late August, serving as a transition point between the summer months and the autumn training season. The race starts and finishes at the Wings Meeting Place located at 3964 California Road.

Participants who register by August 10th or are among the first 250 signups receive a themed t-shirt. These shirts are available in adult sizes ranging from XS to 2XL. A portion of the proceeds from the registration fees is donated to Wings Flight of Hope, a local organization that provides medical air transportation services.
The event recognizes several categories with post-race awards. Top overall male and female finishers, as well as top masters finishers, receive accolades. Age group awards are also presented to the top three male and female participants in categories starting from ages 10 and under, 11-14, and continuing in five-year increments from age 15 up to 80 and over.
