Summer Grand Prix : Bakersfield, Panorama Vista Preserve
The Summer Grand Prix is a four-race series held at Panorama Vista Preserve in Bakersfield from June 13 to July 25, 2026. The series consists of four open 5k races; walkers are welcome to participate. Each event lists an entry fee of $5.
For 2026 the series adds three competitive divisions: Youth, High School, and Adult. Prizes are awarded to the top three finishers in each division for both female and male athletes. Series scoring uses each competitor's best three race results to determine overall standings.
A points table assigns 9 points for first place, 8 for second, 7 for third, and then 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1 point for fourth through ninth places respectively. Races are conducted in waves, and a 45-minute time limit applies to each race.
Overall Grand Prix champions are the runners who accumulate the most points in their division across the series. Part of the proceeds and donations will be given to Panorama Vista Preserve.
