Fog Run : event overview
The Fog Run is scheduled for Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Lake Ming in Bakersfield, CA (6299 Lake Ming Road). The Probation Auxiliary County of Kern presents the 36th annual event. The race program includes the following distances:
- 5K Run
- 10K Run
- Virtual Run
The event is described as family friendly and takes place on a course that overlooks mountains and lake views. The event will occur rain or shine.
Beneficiaries and logistics
Proceeds will benefit the Kern County Probation Department's Helping Hands program. Helping Hands is a nonprofit that provides scholarships, vocational training, mentoring, clothing, hygiene products, and other necessities to at-risk youth in Kern County.
Packet pickup is scheduled on two days before race day at local locations, and check-in/packet pickup is available at Lake Ming on race day. Sponsorship information and a race flyer are available through the event materials. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
