Event overview
The Probation Auxiliary County of Kern presents the 36th Annual Fog Run on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Lake Ming in Bakersfield, CA. The event offers in-person and virtual options and will benefit the Kern County Probation Department's Helping Hands program. Helping Hands is a nonprofit that provides scholarships, vocational training, mentoring, clothing, hygiene products, and other necessities to at-risk youth. The course runs near the lake and includes mountain and lake views. The event will occur rain or shine.

Logistics and registration
Location: 6299 Lake Ming Road, Bakersfield, CA 93306. Entry pricing listed for the in-person runs is $38.85 (includes $3.85 fee); the listed price increases after October 31, 2025 at 11:59pm PDT. The virtual run price is $49.45 (includes $4.45 fee); virtual registration ends January 10, 2026 at 11:59am PST.
