Event
The Stubborn Fool Adventure Race takes place on Saturday, April 11, 2026, with a super-secret start location revealed one week before the race. The start will be within 30 minutes of Black River Falls, WI. The event is USARA-sanctioned and is part of the Wisconsin Adventure Racing Series and the USARA National Points Series. The race format is a choose-your-own-route adventure race for teams or solo racers.

- Bike: 12 - 35 miles
- Trek / land navigation: 1 - 10 miles
Teams navigate between hidden checkpoints using a map and compass - GPS is not allowed. Course terrain includes forest trails and gravel roads; exact distances depend on route choice and checkpoints attempted. Divisions include Family (2-4 multi-generation, at least one under 18), Coed Premier (3 or 4 persons), Open Premier (3 or 4 same gender), 2 Person Coed, 2 Person Open (same gender), Solo Man, and Solo Woman. Premier divisions are 3 or 4 person teams and receive the most awards.
Entry fees vary by registration period; a youth rate of $50 applies for racers 17 and under. Racers must hold an annual USARA membership or purchase a single-event license. Refund policy: full refund through January 11, 2026 (minus registration fees), partial refund through March 1, 2026, and no refunds after March 1, 2026.
