Event overview
The 2026 Pace and Pedal Event is scheduled for May 16, 2026 in Black River Falls, Wisconsin. Proceeds benefit Jackson In Action, Jackson County's Healthy Living Coalition. The event includes a duathlon, a 5K Color Fun Run/Walk, and a Youth Color Run. Packet pickup and same-day registration are offered at Lake Wazee Recreation Area. Wazee Lake Recreation Area is located about 15 minutes east of Black River Falls. T-shirts are available for purchase with registration until April 23 at 12:00 am. In case of severe weather, race officials may cancel, delay, or change the event; no refunds will be issued for cancellations.
Courses, entries and rules
- Duathlon - 4.6 mile run (non-paved trail), 10.3 mile bike (paved roads)
- 5K Color Fun Run/Walk - 5K, fully paved, stroller-friendly, no pets
- Youth Color Run - 1.0 mile paved, ages 12 and under
Participants can register individually or as two-person teams for the duathlon; teams should register together. A bike helmet is required for the biking portion and earbuds or music are not allowed during the bike segment. Duathlon finishers receive a finisher's medal for each individual who completes the event. Youth race participants receive a finisher's medal. The 5K is self-timed with no awards; participants age 12 and under enter the 5K free, age 13 and up pay $10. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
