Stronger Together Pink Out 5K - 3rd Annual
The Stronger Together Pink Out 5K is a community event on October 10, 2026 at Zero Stone Park, 400 S. Nelson Street, Fort Stockton, Texas. The event brings together survivors, families, healthcare professionals, businesses, and organizations to raise breast cancer awareness, promote early detection, and support people affected by breast cancer. The 2026 program adds a Pink Out Expo, a community resource fair featuring healthcare providers, wellness organizations, support services, local businesses, and educational resources focused on breast health and well being. The 2026 theme is "Lace Up for the 1 in 8" and participants are encouraged to wear pink.
The event includes timed and untimed options and community activities. Distances offered:
- Kids Dash 2.5K (timed)
- 5K Run (timed)
- 2.5K Walk
Participants receive a race bag and a finisher medal. The first 50 registered participants receive a free short sleeve race shirt; additional shirts may be available for purchase while supplies last. Survivors participate free, receive a special shirt, and are recognized during the event. The 5K has age divisions and awards for overall and age group finishers. The race is chip timed, requires wearing a bib on the front of the shirt, and provides water stations along the course and at the finish. All proceeds benefit Pink Springs, a Texas 501(c)(3) nonprofit supporting local individuals and families affected by breast cancer and expanding breast health education in Pecos County.
A Courthouse Lighting Ceremony on October 4, 2026 at the Pecos County Courthouse steps will precede race week as a community observance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
