Lucha Libre Carrera, Fort Stockton 5K
The Fort Stockton Lucha Libre Carrera 5K is a community running event held as part of the Barrio Fest festival in Fort Stockton, Texas. The race is presented by LoneRunner Run Club and takes place at James Rooney Park on Saturday, September 12, 2026.
Distances and event formats include:
- Kids' Lap - Ages 12 and under, 0.70 miles.
- 5K Run/Walk - Individual race with age groups from 13 to 70 and over.
- 5K 3 person relay - Teams of three, any age.
Awards will be presented for overall male and female finishers, first through third places in each listed age group, top three finishers in the kids' lap, and first through third relay teams. A lucha libre costume contest is part of the event; contest details and judging information will be announced before the race.
Race operations note that the 5K and relay events will be chip-timed. Race bibs must be worn visibly on the front of the outermost garment. Water will be available along the course. Packet pickup and late registration will be handled at James Rooney Park on race morning. Parking details, course maps, and additional race-day instructions will be provided before the event.
