Stronger than the Storm Run
The Stronger than the Storm Run is an athletic event held in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The event takes place on the Lackawanna River Heritage Trail, specifically utilizing the Olive St. Trailhead for the course. Participants can choose from three primary distances:
- 10K Run
- 5K Run & Walk
- 2 Mile Walk
The competition includes various recognition categories for regional participants. The top overall male and female finishers in the 5K and 10K events receive awards. Additionally, the event recognizes the top two male and female finishers in several age groups, starting from 0-19 and continuing through 70+. There is also an award designated for the top overall walker.
Pre-registered participants have the opportunity to pick up their race packets on the Friday preceding the event at the Scranton Running Company on West Olive Street. For those who do not register in advance, day-of registration is available at the venue during a specific morning window.
