Strides for the Silenced
Strides for the Silenced is a community 5K run, walk, and crawl held on September 12, 2026, at Taylor Creek Farm in Crestwood, KY. The event is organized by a coalition of anti-sex trafficking organizations from the greater Louisville area and aims to raise awareness about sex trafficking and provide information about local resources.
Representatives from participating organizations will be present to explain their roles in the anti-sex trafficking community and to describe ways community members can get involved. The program includes activities and informational opportunities intended for families and for people who want to learn more about the movement to end the buying and selling of human lives.
Registration is open July 1 through September 10. Admission is free and the event is described as family friendly. Volunteer opportunities are available and organizers offer a contact form for those who wish to volunteer or request more information.
The event materials reference faith-based language, describing each stride as a gesture of prayer and a way to honor a call to protect vulnerable people, and also cite Proverbs 31:8. The event uses the slogans Run Loud. Stand Strong. Break the Silence. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
