Strides For Scholars
Strides For Scholars is held at Union School, 18 Kinney Hollow Rd, Union, CT 06076. The event program includes the following distances:
- 5K Run
- 2 Mile Walk
The 5K is a point-to-point, downhill course with a total 360' descent that runs through the Yale Forest. The 5K starts at the school and proceeds down Kinney Hollow Rd for about 3.1 miles. A shuttle bus will be available at the finish to transport runners back to the school. There is parking on site.
The 2 Mile Walk also begins at the school, follows Kinney Hill Rd for one mile, then returns to the school. T-shirts are provided to the first 100 runners and walkers who register by April 1, 2026. Proceeds benefit the Union School Association Scholarship Foundation; scholarships have been awarded annually to graduating high school seniors since 1995.
