Strides for Adam 5K
Strides for Adam 5K is the seventh annual event held in Riverview, MI at 14300 Library Dr. The event offers in-person and virtual participation and supports a nonprofit created after a local death by suicide to continue a legacy of service and raise awareness for mental health and suicide prevention.
Events include:
- 5K Run
- 5K Walk
- 1 Mile Reflection Walk
- Virtual 5K run or walk
The event provides finisher medals and t-shirts; shirts are guaranteed through March 15 and available afterward while supplies last. The finishers medal uses a honeycomb shape with black and yellow colors and includes design elements intended to represent years and rays of light. Overall trophies and age group awards are given for the 5K run, and walk awards are presented for top male and female finishers. The 1 mile reflection walk and virtual participants are not eligible for awards.
Pricing details are published for different age groups and registration dates, and groups of three or more registering together receive a discount. Donations can qualify participants for a free or reduced entry depending on amount and timing. Early packet pickup is scheduled at Total Runner in Southgate on the days before the race, and race packet pickup occurs at the Riverview Community Center.
