Stride for Cancer Care - Royal Surrey
Stride for Cancer Care is a sponsored walk on 4 October 2026 that supports the Royal Surrey Cancer Centre. The event is based at St Luke’s Cancer Ward, Royal Surrey Hospital in Guildford (GU2 7XX).
Participants can choose from four well marked looped routes. Elevation gain varies by route, from around 200 m up to 1031 m. The 5 km route is described as an all-ability, family-friendly loop that is wheelchair and buggy accessible; longer options are available for greater distance.
Included on the day are a fully recced and marked route, full medical cover with a course manager and qualified medical crew, toilets, bag drop and refreshments at the start, checkpoint food and water at regular intervals, and free tea, coffee and cake at the finish. The event notes support for SheRACES and an emphasis on providing a positive experience for female participants.
Standard entry is priced at £20. Children aged 13 and under are free but must complete a registration form. Registration and timing chip collection take place at St Luke’s Cancer Ward. The organisers state that compulsory kit includes a fully charged mobile phone and at least 500 ml of water, with additional recommended items on a kit list.
