Event Overview
The Streator Run For Glory is a 5K run held on July 4, 2026 in Streator, Illinois. It kicks off the city's 4th of July Celebration. The event includes a single main race distance.
Course Details
The route is an out-and-back course. It starts at City Park, at the intersection of Kent Street and Vermillion Street. The course runs through quiet neighborhoods.
Event Features
Chip timing is provided by a company called Racing Expectations. A free Kids Fun Run with participation medals is also part of the event. Walkers are welcome.
Awards are given for the following categories:
- Top three finishers in multiple age groups, from 9 & under to 80 & over.
- First overall male and female finisher.
- First male and female finisher from Streator.
Water stations are provided on the course at the 1-mile and 2-mile points. Post-race refreshments include fruit and water. Participants registered by June 17, 2026 are guaranteed a T-shirt or tank top. Festive swag bags are given to the first 100 registered participants. A free drink is offered at Legacy Sports Bar and Grill.
Registration
Check-in begins at City Park. Registration fees are tiered: an early bird rate is available until March 31, 2026, a standard rate applies from April 1 through July 3, and a race day rate is available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
