Strawberry Shortcake 5K, Switchyard Park
The Third Annual Strawberry Shortcake 5K is scheduled for June 14, 2026 at Switchyard Park in Bloomington, Indiana. The event includes three 5K options: a running-only race, a walking-only event, and a virtual 5K. Registration opens on March 7; the standard registration fee is $30.00. In-person race registration closes June 12 and the virtual registration closes June 13.
Packet pickup is available early at Binford Elementary on June 13 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm. Day-of registration and packet pickup will take place at Switchyard Park between 8:00 and 9:00 am. T-shirts are guaranteed for participants who register before May 26; after that date shirts are distributed based on available extra sizes.
The course follows paths through Switchyard Park. It begins at the Pavilion, heads south toward Country Club Road passing the playground and dog parks, turns at Country Club Road, continues toward Hopscotch Coffee, and returns to the Pavilion for the finish. The event is sponsored by the Auxiliary to the Boys and Girls Club of Bloomington and supports local Clubs.
Strawberry shortcake preorders are guaranteed for participants who register before May 26. Limited quantities of strawberry shortcake will be available for purchase on race day.
