Strawberry Fields Forever
Strawberry Fields Forever is held at the North Bonneville Ball Fields on Strawberry Island in the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. The event uses a 10 km loop course that runs through field, forest, and along the Columbia River. The surface is dirt trail and graveled trail with roughly 200 feet of elevation gain and 200 feet of elevation loss per loop.
The loop is chip-timed at the ball fields. One aid station is available and can be accessed every 6.2 miles; available items include water, electrolyte drink, sports bars, pizza, and peanut butter-strawberry jam sandwiches. Participants may set up a tent at the park for gear changes or rest. The course passes three bathrooms and a short detour provides access to a fourth.

Runners can receive an award for the distance entered within a 30-hour limit; the 100-mile distance equals 16 loops. Medals are given only for the distance participants sign up for. Distance changes are allowed up to the Friday before the event. Entry fees are listed for each distance and food and drink are available for the entire 30 hours. There may be music and other social activities. Nearby attractions include Bonneville Dam, a fish hatchery, waterfalls, hot springs, Beacon Rock, golf courses, brew pubs, and swimming.
