Strawberry Fields Forever - North Bonneville, WA

Strawberry Fields Forever is a loop-course running event at the North Bonneville Ball Fields inside the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. The course is a 10k loop that runs through fields, forest, and along the Columbia River in a recreation area managed by the Corps of Engineers. The surface is dirt and graveled trail with roughly 200 feet of elevation gain and 200 feet of elevation loss per loop.

Aid and facilities are concentrated at the start/finish area at the ball fields. The event uses a chip mat at the start/finish. One aid station is available and can be accessed every 6.2 miles. The course passes three bathrooms and a short detour provides a fourth. Participants may set up a tent in the park for gear changes or rest.

Awards are given for the registered distance within a 30 hour completion window. The 100 mile distance is 16 laps of the 10k loop. Runners receive a medal only for the distance they registered and may change their signed distance up to the Friday before the event. Food and drink are available throughout the 30 hour window. Local attractions near North Bonneville include Bonneville Dam, the Bonneville Fish Hatchery, waterfall hikes, hot springs, Beacon Rock, golf options, brew pubs, and swimming spots.
