Strawberry Festival 5k Run/Walk
The Strawberry Festival 5k Run/Walk takes place in Bolivar, Ohio, with the venue listed as Bolivar Village Town Hall at 109 Canal St NE. The event includes a 5K run/walk and a children’s Seedling Scamper of about one half mile.
The 5K course is described as flat and fast. It starts in the village, runs south out of town through the industrial park, then winds through village streets and alleys before returning to the finish area.
The Seedling Scamper is a free, untimed kids run for ages 10 and under. Children run about one half mile, cross the finish line for a photo, and each participant receives a patch at the finish.
Proceeds from the event support the Bolivar Main Street Association and help fund community events such as the Strawberry Festival, Classics on Canal car show, and Christmas on the Canal.
Shirt options are unisex sizes X-Small to 2X-Large, or participants may choose no shirt for a $5 discount. Race shirts are guaranteed for registrations received by May 15; after that shirts are available first come, first served.
Awards are given to the top three overall female and male finishers and to the top three female and male finishers in the listed age groups. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
