Strawberry Festival 5K Run/Walk
The event is based at Bolivar Village Town Hall in Bolivar, Ohio. It features a flat, fast course that starts in the village, runs south through the industrial park, and returns through village streets and alleys to the finish line.
Distances include:
- 5K Run/Walk
- Seedling Scamper - 0.5 miles for children ages 10 and under
The Seedling Scamper is a free kids run of about half a mile. Children cross the finish line for a photo opportunity and each participant receives a patch at the finish.
Registration for the 5K has a fee of $25.00. The kids race has no registration fee. Participants may choose a unisex shirt in sizes X-Small to 2X-Large or opt out for a $5 discount. Race shirts are guaranteed for registrations completed by May 15; after that shirts are available on a first come first serve basis.
Proceeds support the Bolivar Main Street Association and help fund community events such as the Strawberry Festival, the Classics on Canal car show, and Christmas on the Canal.
Awards are given to the top three overall female and male finishers and to the top three female and male finishers in the following age groups: 9 & under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, and 80+.
