Stratford Triathlon : Stratford-upon-Avon, Sunday 18 April 2027
The Stratford Triathlon is a pool-based triathlon held at Stratford Leisure Centre in Stratford-upon-Avon. Now in its 32nd year, the event uses a heated 33 metre indoor pool for the swim, a single 18 km bike lap through the Warwickshire countryside, and a flat towpath run alongside the River Avon. The main transition area and finish line are at the rear of the Leisure Centre, making the course spectator friendly.
The event is electronic chip timed and awards an official finisher medal to all entrants. Competitors must count their own swim lengths and bike and run laps. It is compulsory to wear a cycle helmet for the bike section. The run course is lapped: the Fun event and Super Sprint complete one out-and-back lap, while the Sprint and Relay complete two laps.
There are non-competitive and charity options. The CRUK Wave offers the same course distances as the Super Sprint and Fun waves, and the organiser will donate £10 from every CRUK Wave entry to Cancer Research UK. The #TriTogether wave groups participants into a non-competitive start to complete the swim, bike and run together.
