Stratford Triathlon
Stratford Triathlon takes place at Stratford Leisure Centre in Stratford-upon-Avon on Sunday 18 April 2027. The swim is held in a 33 metre heated indoor pool at the leisure centre. The bike course is a single 18 km lap through the Warwickshire countryside and is described as flat. The run follows the towpath beside the River Avon on a 2.5 km flat out-and-back loop that finishes at the Leisure and Visitor Centre.
The event offers multiple distances and entry types:
- Sprint: 400m swim, 18 km cycle, 5 km run
- Super Sprint: 200m swim, 18 km cycle, 2.5 km run
- Fun: 200m swim, 18 km cycle, 2.5 km run
- Sprint Relay: 400m swim, 18 km cycle, 5 km run
- CRUK Wave and CRUK Relay: 200m swim, 18 km cycle, 2.5 km run
Practical details include electronic chip timing and an official finisher medal for all entrants. All competitors must count their own swim lengths and laps on bike and run, and wearing a cycle helmet during the bike section is compulsory. The main transition area and finish line are located at the rear of the leisure centre, making the course spectator friendly.
