Stratford Triathlon, Stratford-upon-Avon
The Stratford Triathlon is held at Stratford Leisure Centre in Stratford-upon-Avon on Sunday 18 April 2027. The event uses the centre's 33 metre heated indoor pool for the swim, a one-lap 18 km bike route through the Warwickshire countryside, and a flat, riverside run along the River Avon that finishes at the Leisure and Visitor Centre.
Races are chip timed and all finishers receive an official medal. The event has run for multiple years and is presented as open to a wide range of competitors, including individual entrants, club athletes, charity participants and relay teams. There are no advertised course cut-off times. Competitors must count their own pool lengths and their own bike and run laps, and cycle helmets are compulsory for the bike section. The main transition area and finish line are located at the rear of the leisure centre, making the course spectator friendly.
Relay teams may consist of two or three people; each team member completes one or two disciplines and passes the electronic chip to the next member in the transition area. The event includes a CRUK wave with the same shorter distances and a donation from each CRUK entry to Cancer Research UK. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
