Strasburg Mayfest 5K

The Strasburg Mayfest 5K is a community running event hosted by the Strasburg Mayfest Committee in collaboration with the Town of Strasburg. This race serves as a benefit for Abigail's Journey, with funds raised directed toward medical expenses and surgery for a local child with complex medical needs.

The event takes place at Strasburg High School. Participants can park directly at the school facilities. The race follows a 5K distance and is open to participants through online pre-registration or on-site registration. Members of the Shenandoah Valley Runners (SVR) are eligible for a registration discount.

Participants who register by May 1, 2026, are guaranteed a race shirt in their size. Availability of shirts for those who register after this date or on the day of the race is not guaranteed, as extra shirts will not be stocked once the deadline passes.

The event concludes with an awards ceremony held immediately after the race. Prizes include age group awards as well as door prizes contributed by local businesses. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
