Strasburg Mayfest 5K
The Strasburg Mayfest Committee, in collaboration with the Town of Strasburg, organizes the Mayfest 5K in Strasburg, Virginia. This running event serves as a benefit for Abigail's Journey, providing financial support for a local child with complex medical needs. Proceeds from the race contribute toward medical expenses, specialized therapies, and out-of-state surgical procedures.

The race is held at Strasburg High School, which serves as the base for parking, registration, and the start of the course. Participants who register by May 1, 2026, are guaranteed a race shirt. Registration remains open online until shortly before the race begins on the day of the event. Members of the Shenandoah Valley Runners receive a registration discount.
Upon completion of the 5K course, an awards ceremony is held to recognize participants in different age groups. In addition to performance awards, participants may receive door prizes provided by various local businesses. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
