Event overview
The Straddie Salute takes place over the weekend of 15-17 May 2026 on North Stradbroke Island. The main event hub is Point Lookout Oval. Activities across the weekend include off-road and on-road triathlon races, trail runs, ocean swims, and youth events under the StraddieKidz program. The ocean swim events are held at Home Beach and a farewell lunch is scheduled at Straddie Brewing.

- 5 km trail run
- 10 km trail run
- 500 m ocean swim
- 1000 m ocean swim
Triathlon options include the Straddie Salute Off Road Triathlon, the Straddie Pure On Road Triathlon, relay teams and "All In" teams where each member completes all legs. StraddieKidz events include duathlon, triathlon and aquathlon formats. The event accepts individuals and teams from 7 years and up. Age group categories are based on age as of 31 December 2025 in five-year brackets.
Entries close 10 days before the event, with late entries available until the Friday before the event unless sold out. A One Day Membership is required for entrants without an annual AusTriathlon membership; one ODM covers a team entry when applicable. Wave start times are finalised in the week of the event. Each participant receives a timing chip to be worn on the left ankle; relay teams use one chip passed between members. Helmets are compulsory for cycling, mountain bikes are permitted if in safe working condition, and personal music devices are not allowed. Wetsuit use is permitted when water temperature is below 24.6 degrees; temperatures are checked in the lead-up to the event. Bag storage is provided and details are in the Athlete Guide.
