Freedom Run 5k
The Freedom Run is a 5k road race organized by Runners United Nevada in Nevada, IA. The event is scheduled for July 4 and is listed as one of the races in the 2026 RUN Nevada Race Series.
The 2026 series is the seventh annual and includes four events. Series participants who register for all races are eligible for a set of benefits that apply to the included races. Those benefits include a $10 discount per race, a limited edition RUN Series windbreaker, chip timing, a race t shirt for each event, a finisher medal courtesy of ALMACO, and awards for top finishers. Individual race registration is also available.
All RUN Series registrations must be received by April 9 at 5pm. Additional races in the series for 2026 include the Pizza Pie Looza 5k and 10k on May 9, the Hickory Grove 5k Trail Run on August 8, and the Lincoln Highway Dash 5k on August 29.
