Stop The Trafficking 5K Walk/Run
The Stop The Trafficking 5K Walk/Run is the 13th annual event organized to raise awareness and funds to end human trafficking. All proceeds will be designated to organizations that work with sexually exploited youth and women.
The event offers both a live in person race at Purgatory Creek Park in Eden Prairie, MN and a virtual option that runs over several days in mid June. Virtual participants may complete a 3.1 mile course in a location of their choice and upload their time to be ranked separately from the live event. The live event includes pre race speakers near the park pavilion and display tables from beneficiary organizations. Bottled water and packaged snacks will be provided after the race.
Registration fees are published with early bird rates available through May 3 and regular rates thereafter. Early bird rates are youth $25 and adult $35. Regular rates are youth $30 and adult $40. Shipping of race packets is available for $6.50 if registered by June 5.
Race packets include a t shirt and race bib. Packet pick up is scheduled on multiple days and locations, including Grace Church Eden Prairie and at Purgatory Creek Park on race day. Runners only may request chip timed results. Top finishers in three age categories youth (17 and under), adult (18 to 64), and senior (65 and older) will be recognized with medals. Volunteer roles cover set up, packet pick up, post race food, clean up, and related tasks; volunteers receive a 50 percent discount code to participate. Individual sponsorships are tax deductible.
