Stone Steps 50K and 27K Trail Run
The Stone Steps 50K and 27K Trail Run takes place on Sunday, October 25, 2026, in Mt. Airy Forest in Cincinnati, Ohio. The event is staged in cooperation with the Cincinnati Park Board and uses The Oval (area 13) as the race day headquarters and start/finish area. Both distances use loop courses on single-track trails. The terrain is technical and hilly, with roots, rocks, occasional tree blowdowns, and sections that can be muddy though generally relatively dry. The course layout alternates a 5+ mile loop with a 3+ mile loop: the 50K repeats the 5+ mile loop four times and the 3+ mile loop three times, while the 27K repeats the 5+ mile loop two times and the 3+ mile loop two times. Aid stations are located approximately every 3-5 miles. The course is well marked.
Timing is electronic using disposable bib chips placed on the bib; times are read electronically. Pre-registered runners for both distances are guaranteed a custom technical race shirt.
