Stone Harbor Turtle Trot 5K and 2‑Mile Fun Walk
The Stone Harbor Turtle Trot is the 26th annual running and walking event organized by the Stone Harbor Chamber of Commerce in Stone Harbor, New Jersey, held on May 24, 2026. The event program includes a 5K race and a separate two mile fun walk, plus opportunities for volunteering and spectating.
Participants in the 5K compete on a course described as fast that runs through Stone Harbor’s scenic residential neighborhoods. Awards are given to the top three men and the top three women overall in the 5K, and medals are awarded to the top three men and women in six age categories. Awards will be available for pickup at the Chamber of Commerce in the afternoon of race day after results are posted.
The fun walk is an untimed, non competitive family event. All registered participants receive a Turtle Trot t shirt while supplies last. A portion of event proceeds will be donated to the Diamond Terrapin Program at The Wetlands Institute. Race day registration and pre registered runner check in take place at the Lifeguard Shack Parking Lot on 95th Street and the beach.
The event is held rain or shine and there are no refunds if the race is canceled due to dangerous weather or unforeseen circumstances.
