Stomp the Stigma 5K
Maria Parham Franklin and the MPF Behavioral Health team organize an event on May 30, 2026, in Louisburg, North Carolina, to raise awareness for mental health during National Mental Health Awareness Month. The event program includes multiple running events and community support activities.

The 5K begins and ends at the hospital and follows a route through downtown Louisburg. The Kids Dash takes place entirely on the hospital grounds. Each participant receives a t-shirt and a swag bag; registering by May 16 guarantees a t-shirt and swag bag.
Registration opens January 16, 2026. Registration for the 5K and the 1 Mile closes May 17, 2026. Registration for the Kids Dash closes May 30, 2026. Fees listed for the events are $30.00 for the 5K, $20.00 for the 1 Mile Family Fun Run/Walk, and no fee for the Kids Dash.
Awards are given to the top three male and top three female finishers. Medals will be awarded to the first 150 people who finish the race. The event location is 100 Hospital Drive, Louisburg, NC 27549. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
