Stomp the Stigma 5K

The Stomp the Stigma 5K is a community event held in Louisburg, North Carolina, organized by Maria Parham Franklin and the MPF Behavioral Health team. The event takes place during National Mental Health Awareness Month with the goal of raising awareness and supporting community mental health needs.

Participants can choose from three different event distances:

  • 5K Run/Walk
  • 1 Mile Family Fun Run/Walk
  • Kids Dash

The 5K course begins and ends at the hospital, with the route passing through downtown Louisburg. The 1 Mile Family Fun Run/Walk provides a shorter alternative for families and walkers. The Kids Dash is designed for participants aged 12 and under and takes place entirely on the hospital grounds.

Run The East, LLC provides professional timing services for the race. All participants receive a t-shirt and a swag bag, provided they register at least two weeks before the event. Awards are presented to the top three male and top three female finishers. Additionally, medals are awarded to the first 150 participants who cross the finish line. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
