Course, awards and logistics
The course is a mostly cross-country, two-lap route that tours the winery vineyards and starts and finishes at the winery. Organizers note the course is more suited to a scenic experience than to chasing a personal best. Age group awards are offered in ten-year categories, with awards available only on race day and claimable at the registration table after results are posted online. Packet pickup is race day only and opens one hour before the event start. Registration includes a cotton t-shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a wine-glass-shaped finisher medal, a chip-timed bib, posted results, and a pour of wine; minors receive a shirt, medal and bib but do not receive a wine glass or wine pour. A virtual participation option is available, with a shipping fee for mailed packets. Dogs are not allowed on site. Strollers are permitted but not recommended due to uneven ground.
