About the race
The adidas Stockholm Half Marathon is a road race covering 21,098 meters through central Stockholm. The course starts and finishes in the central area by the Royal Palace, Parliament and the Opera House and is described kilometer by kilometer by the organizer. Race kit pick-up and the Runners Expo take place in Kungsträdgården on 27–29 August, and an after run is held in Kungsträdgården.
The route passes through the central neighborhoods Norrmalm, Vasastan, Kungsholmen, Gamla Stan and Södermalm. The organizer provides detailed kilometer markers and route notes, with landmarks along the way such as Karlberg Palace, Stockholm City Hall, Parliament House, the Royal Palace and the Opera House. The profile includes several gentle inclines, some longer uphill stretches and downhill sections along quaysides and bridges.
The event is organized by the athletics clubs Hässelby SK and Spårvägens FK. Any potential surplus is reinvested 100 percent into sports. Participants must be 17 years or older to be eligible to enter. Practical information such as registration conditions, start lists and results are published by the organizer.
