About the race
The adidas Stockholm Half Marathon is a city road race covering 21,098 m through central Stockholm. The course goes through the neighborhoods Norrmalm, Vasastan, Kungsholmen, Gamla Stan and Södermalm and runs past several well known landmarks, including the Royal Palace, Parliament House, the Opera House and Stockholm City Hall.
The route starts and finishes in the central area between the Royal Palace, the Parliament and the Opera House and is described by the organizer as a fast and accessible course. The profile includes gentle inclines, longer uphill sections and a few steeper descents, with numbered kilometer markers and local route highlights along the way.
Event logistics published by the organizer include a Runners Expo and race kit pick-up in Kungsträdgården on 27–29 August. The race is organised by the athletics clubs Hässelby SK and Spårvägens FK; any surplus is reinvested 100 percent into sports.
Registration information notes that participants are eligible from the year they turn 17 (born 2010 or earlier) and that registrations are binding and personal; the entry fee will not be refunded by the organiser in the event of non‑participation in accordance with the event terms.
